KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON….. down to the museum this Spring with our annual Works in Wartime Living History & Vintage Fair event.

Experience what life was like in the ‘Factory closest to Germany’ during World War Two producing vital munitions equipment including naval guns, with military displays, wartime vehicles, plus a real hand cranked air-raid siren!
Meet the Women’s Land Army, discover what to do with an unexploded bomb, find out about rationing, and see if you meet the requirements to sign up for the Home Guard with the Royal Norfolk Regiment Re-enactment Group. Plus don your 40s finery and Allied Uniforms for ongoing entertainment through the day with dancing displays from Everything’s Jumpin’, toe-tapping tunes and singing from Vocally Vintage, plus a chance to try out some moves yourselves. If that’s not your thing then peruse the variety of retro stalls for memorabilia or antique chic, and pop into our vintage café for homemade cakes and pots of tea.
So bring your identity card and your best 40s attire for a full on wartime experience, and fun for all the family.
Look out for more details coming soon.
If you would like to hold a vintage stall, exhibit a vehicle or attend with your living history group please get in touch on
